Our yarns are of the highest quality, and are carefully hand dyed and hand finished. You can see details of the yarns we carry by going to our yarn information page. Dye lots are kept small to ensure quality control. As with any hand dyed yarn, there can be significant shade differences between skeins within a dye lot, so we recommend that you alternate skeins every few rows, to prevent striping. We recommend that all our yarns be hand washed with gentle detergent in cool water, to help them retain their vibrant colours.
We currently accept credit and debit cards via the PayPal shopping cart system, one of the safest ways to pay online. PayPal's data security is state of the art: PayPal automatically encrypts your confidential information with an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). If you are still concerned about using a credit card online, we also accept cheque and postal order payments from UK buyers. Please note that international buyers must use PayPal.
VAT (value added tax) is a UK & EU sales tax. We are VAT registered, so if you are in the UK or EU, you will be paying 20% VAT on your purchase (and postage where applicable). Our prices are listed excluding VAT and including VAT. If you are in the UK or EU, you will pay the inclusive price, if you are outside the EU, you will pay the exclusive price. VAT will not be charged on a gift voucher purchase, but if you are in the UK or EU, you would be charged VAT when you redeem your gift voucher, so you need to be looking at the prices inclusive of VAT to see how much you will pay.
Your yarn will usually be dispatched on the next working day after purchase. Our shipping charge is £3.25 for UK customers, £4.25 for European customers, and £6.00 for international customers. Please note that if you are an international buyer, you may also have to pay a customs charge on receipt of your package. When entering your postal address during the checkout process, please ensure it is accurate. This is the address we use for shipping the yarn, so if you want it sent to a different address, you will need to email us to let us know (please be advised, we do not use the Paypal address for shipping).
You have the right to cancel an order for any reason within fourteen days of receipt of the goods. Providing that unwanted goods are received back to us in unused and resaleable condition within seven days of delivery, we will refund payment for the goods. Orders placed by credit or debit card through PayPal will be refunded directly to your credit or debit card. Orders placed by other means will be refunded by cheque. These refunds will be made within 30 days of return of goods. We cannot accept liability for returned goods lost or damaged during transit. Please package the goods carefully to avoid damage, and to return them by recorded delivery, registered post, or by courier. Proof of postage cannot be accepted as proof of delivery. Please remember to include your name, address, and a copy of your purchase receipt with the returned items. We will not refund the postage cost of returned orders. In the unlikely event that you receive damaged or faulty goods, please notify us within 7 days of receipt, and we will dispatch a replacement order on return of the faulty items. Please contact us for the returns address.
We update our shop every Sunday at 7pm (UK time), and our sales move very quickly. When shopping, you need to complete Checkout before the items in your basket are secure. If someone buys the same item as you, and they check out before you do, the checkout will tell you that the item is now out of stock. For multiple purchases, you might want to complete checkout before returning here to continue shopping. Unfortunately there is no way of registering your details with the website so that it remembers your details. However, if you use Autocomplete in your browser (Under Tools> Internet Options> Content), once you have made one purchase with us, all you have to do is double click in each box and your details will come up, saving you typing time! Postage is a set price based on your location, regardless of how much you purchase. If you make multiple purchases, please choose the Multiple Purchase delivery option, so you only pay postage once.
Our voucher system is currently undergoing an update, and will be back online as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can arrange for a voucher via email to email@example.com. Please specify the recipient's name and email address along with the desired amount (in GBP) for the voucher. You can request that your voucher be sent on a future date, and there is no expiry date on the vouchers. A new and improved voucher system will soon be up!
We do not disclose buyers' information to third parties. If you subscribe to our mailing list, we will not pass on your email address to any third party, nor use it for any reason other than to update you on new products and services.
