I’m feeling very random this morning, thanks to a cold that won’t go away, and a brain that is slightly addled as a consequence. Here are some of the things on my mind:

  1. Our new sparkle sock yarn, launching this week. Its fabulous to knit with, and gives great stitch definition, but with the extra glamour of a bit of sparkle. We’re also launching a sparkle lace this week, which is merino/silk/sparkle. Does it get better than that?! Sorry for the contrasty photo, I am having a devil of a time with my photos of late, due to the dark winter days. Which brings me to…..
  2. I’ve decided its time for a photography shake-up. I’ve been finding it so hard of late, and certain colours just elude me altogether. I’ve invested in some new lighting equipment, and we’re going to try an entirely new set-up. Watch this space…..
  3. The Random Acts Of Poshness Club signups open tomorrow at 9pm – did you remember?!!
  4. I am rediscovering the joy of socks (ha ha). My concentration levels have been a bit patchy lately, and I need some small project that I can pick up, do a quick row, put down. I’m loving this sock pattern, with a twisted stitch design. It didnt photograph very well (see 2) but I think its awfully pretty.
  5. I am in love with my new breadmaker.
  6. I am in love with spelt bread.
  7. I think I could happily live on bread and cheese (and wine) for the rest of my life.
  8. It’s very cold.
  9. Again.
  10. I am finding that my list is turning into a Rabbit list (ugh, the Disney pictures of Rabbit are just WRONG).
  11. Anyone who says that money can’t buy happiness has obviously never shopped at Anthropologie. They have a wicked sale on their website at the moment. I may have bought stuff.
  12. There’s only two more shop updates before we close for Xmas. EEK.
  13. Question: why when I phone my bank, am I told that there may be delays due to the snow, when I almost always get through to someone in India anyway???
  14. Beeswax candles don’t make Tony wheeze. And they are pretty. And they smell good. They are also very expensive. Oh well.
  15. I wish I could shake off this cold.
  16. So does Tony.
  17. Cough, cough.
  18. Is it time for elevenses yet?

  1. Did you try stearin candles? Cheap parrafin candles also makes me wheeze but beeswax and stearin candles are fine.

  2. Answer to Q13 : The snow’s on the line (probably with some leaves left over from Autumn) 😉

  3. Beeswax candles negatively ionize the air, similar to natural moving water does, which is a positive thing for our bodies! So expensive they may be, but they are healthy and sustainable and smell nummy – I’m a fan, can you tell?

Excited to see what Tony does with the sparkle yarns…
