February Cashmere Club

On, or around, January 25th, the Scots celebrate the life and works of Robert Burns, on Burns Night. After eating haggis (yuck!) and drinking whiskey (yum!), some of his poetry is recited. The evening often ends with a ceilidh (dance).

We were inspired by that event when creating the first colourway for the 2010 Cashmere Club. The colourway is rich and complex, with hints of tartan, and the ever changing colour of the beautiful Scottish Highlands, all rolled into one! The yarn is Sophia 4ply, and you will be receiving 2 x 55g skeins (200 yards each) which we’ve twisted up into one paired skein for you. The yarn was posted out on Friday, so you should all start to get it soon.

Here are my pattern suggestions for this yarn. I know it’s sock yarn, but I haven’t chosen many sock patterns, because it seems a shame to hide this luxurious yarn inside shoes!
