Well, as you might have noticed, I’ve lost my blogging mojo. Its not that anything is wrong, I’m fine, but I just can’t seem to think of anything to write about nowadays. Help! What would you like to know?

did you ever finish your kitchen?

The other day, I started a list of things that I like as a separate page on my blog. It’s a continuing project that I add to whenever I feel like, and is a nice pick-me-up, too. Also it’s fun! Here’s mine: http://fiberfiend6891.wordpress.com/stuff-i-like/

How do you keep the cats from “loving” your knitting stuff? Also, how do you stop them thinking the spinning wheel is a toy?

Always a topic: the weather ! We here in Germany just survived the remnants of the storm, which set the northwest of England afloat.

any new techniques you’ve learned recently (from Rav or elsewhere)
how the landscape is seasonally changing in your part of the world…and other people’s too…

Could we have another of your fashion suggestions? I love them, and would be good in time for pressie lists. I also really love your pattern suggestions if you got the urge!

I’d like to see the kitchen reno. Or some photos of the town where you live. Being in the US I love seeing the scenery over there.

Here’s a bunch of questions:
How did you get started dyeing yarn?
What’s your favorite thing to knit?
Do you have favorite patterns?
Do you do other needle arts besides knitting?
Who in the current knitting world would you like to meet?

The colours of your yarn are always so beautiful. How do you figure them out, what is your source of inspiration? Yes, of course, the wheather is always a good topic

Pictures of cats and kitchens are always good!

Oooh, how’s the kitchen renovation?

Did you finish any projects? or start new ones? I always love your knitting. I’m just starting on my Posh shawl kit and loving it (although the 357 cast on stitches made me say a rude word)
I’ve always enjoyed your suggestions - patterns, food, clothes, books.
Who’s blogs do you read?

Kitchen!!! I just enjoy hearing about your life–holiday plans, things you enjoy, the local landscape. I really love the photos of the palm trees!

My subject might be boring.. but I think most of us need inspiration for the DK and Aran weight handpainted yarn.

My question? Who do I have to bribe and with what to get hold of some of that delicious yarn during a Sunday night extravaganza!?!?!?

I am always facinated about far away places. What is your town like? What’s your favorite thing to do there? Do you think you’d ever move somewhere else or stay put forever?
November 26th, 2009 at 11:36 am
We missed you…
You run a successful business… How do you decide what yarns to offer? For example - you don’t carry Eva anymore…. why? What is the most challenging decision you had to make and what decision are you most “proud of”.

I lost my mojo almost a year ago, stopped blogging at the beginning of the summer - and then found I couldn’t quite say goodbye to the blogworld entirely so have started up again (at a new address, to make it a really clean start). Which is only relevant because, I have been thinking about all this a lot recently, blogging ebbs and flows and what and why and how we blog.
I guess the reason we write blogs is to carry on a conversation with the friends (and in your case, customers) who we make in the (knitting)blogosphere. So in the blog, what we really want to read is just the kind of thing you’d chat about when knitting with a good friend. ‘Look, I made this!’ or, ‘This was the sunset yesterday evening as I was out collecting the washing from the line’ or, ‘This is a great new recipe I discovered’ or even, ‘This is what I had for breakfast’. It’s just a way of making connections, really - so whatever you’re thinking and wondering about.
Today is Thanksgiving in America. How about starting off again with an ‘Everything I’m thankful for today’ post? Everyone loves those.
Good luck! xo

I’d love to hear about your and Tony’s inspiration for yarn colours. I’d also love to see photos of the area where you live - it sounds like a beautiful part of the world.
