We’ve Come A Long Way, Baby

There were times when I didn’t think we’d make it.

Times when domestic harmony seemed like it was never going to happen.

There was constant bickering and fighting, running away and hiding, swearing and all kinds of ugly behaviour.

There was despair.

There was fear and loathing.

There were ultimatums.

But look at us now.

Peace, harmony, and love.

We’re only happy when we are together, the closer the better.

It took time, but we made it.

What we have is truly beautiful.

Awwww, a whole crate of cuddling kitties! It must be heading into Winter, I find the onset of colder weather puts a dampener on the border skirmishes between my four :).

And doesn’t Jaffa look happy? Even though his tummy’s being sat on? This is so lovely to see - a tangle of warm cats…

This gives me hope. I’ve just adopted a third cat and it’s not going well. I guess we have to just give it time.

How? Please share - I have a brother and sister, they got along wonderfully for the first 1 1/2 years - and now, yuk, it’s a cat storm. They won’t even sleep on opposite sides of a queen size bed with me in the middle.

My favourite winter food is a good hearty soup, made with lamb cubes, pearl barley and onions and carrots (and of course a drop or two of nice white wine), accompanied by various seasonal veg and another glass or two of wine - then settling down for some knitting in front of a warm fire with the tele on. Favourite person present or not as the case may be!
