Healthy Eating

I’m reading this incredible book at the moment, called The Diet Delusion. I’m not going to tell you anything about it, but I would urge you if you are concerned about healthy eating, about your weight, or about the cardiovascular health of yourself and your family, to buy this book. It’s huge, it’s very scientific, and it couldn’t be described as light reading, but it is unputdownable. And shocking. And very, very remarkable.

  1. thats odd, I’m reading Trick and Treat by Barry Groves which is about how supposedly healthy eating is making us all ill. It makes a lot of sense and has a lot of scientific back up.

  2. For your North American readers, the title is “Good Calories, Bad Calories”–I don’t know why they insist on changing titles for different countries!

Sounds like his premise is a bit like Michael Pollan’s in “In Defense of Food.” I quite enjoyed that one, it made a lot of sense. I’ve always felt that the modern Western view of food didn’t make much sense.
