I forgot, the clocks go back tonight in the UK! So you will need to double check the time of the update tomorrow. Here’s a link to the World Clock event planner. We will be on GMT time from midnight tonight.
I wish you could see all the yarn in the flesh this week. Pay extra attention to the written colour descriptions, because lots of the colourways are very subtle, Tony’s speciality, and the photos can only capture so much.
Two lovely new yarn bases this week, both of which I’m super excited about.
A 4ply (sock weight) yarn, made from 80% high twist superwash merino, 10% cashmere, 10% nylon. 400 yards per 100g. Recommended needle size is 2.75mm (US 2). £13.00 per skein. (this is a high twist version of our popular Martha sock)
A dk weight yarn, made from 70% baby alpaca, 20% silk, 10% cashmere. 240 yards (220m) per 100g. Recommended needle size is 4mm (US 6). £15.00 per 100g skein.
As always the update goes live at 7pm on Sunday – hope you can join us!!
Thanks to everyone who entered the competition on the blog. Our winner is Sarah (aka princesspurling)!
While I was away I visited a lovely fabric shop / button shop in Chichester, and picked out some pretty pewter buttons. I think these would look adorable on a tweedy cardigan, or maybe adorning the cuff of gloves. I’m offering these as a prize to you, my lovely readers. All you have to do is answer this question:
What’s your favourite tipple at this time of year?
Leave your answer in the comments, and I’ll pick a winner (at random) on Friday.
(By the by, this deliciously velvety looking background is knitted with our Emily yarn. And I heard today that our special order of it will be with us in the next few weeks!!! I. Can’t. Wait. I’ve had a splendid idea for a cardigan design, which I’m determined to work up, and Emily will be perfect for it.)
